Nursery Papers
Nursery Papers are reliable and helpful information sheets that cover a wide variety of business, technical and marketing issues of relevance to the nursery and garden industry. Each issue contains credible and useful information in an easy-to-read format. The information is clear, concise and includes actionable conclusions so that you can build a better business. The papers often focus on actual case study examples to demonstrate practical applications working successfully in the real world.

- Green Marketing and the Trade Practices Act (PDF, 241 Kb) - Guidelines produced by the ACCC to educate businesses about their obligations under the Trade Practices Act in terms of using ‘green’ claims as a marketing tool.
- Nursery & Garden Industry Strategic Plan 2006 - 2008 (PDF, 152 Kb) - Adopted in December 2005, this document outlines the initiatives being implemented to help members fulfil the industry vision of "a united and sustainable industry providing plants, gardens and landscapes that are highly valued by Australian households and communities."
- Nursery Industry Water Management Best Practice Guidelines (PDF, 761 Kb) - A practical guide which nursery operators and the relevant authorities can use in partnerships to achieve the five goals for sustainable water use.
- Nursery & Garden Industry Invasive Plants Position (PDF, 3 Mb) - This document sets out the the nursery and garden industry's commitment to helping the community tackle the issue of invasive plants. It also outlines how governments and authorities can assist in this regard.
- Nursery & Garden Industry Water Policy (PDF, 2 Mb) - Few industries are more affected by water policies implemented by government and water authorities than the nursery and garden industry. Having been particularly hard hit in recent years, the industry has finalised its own water policy.
- National Plant Labelling Guidelines (PDF, 2.5 Mb) - Developed to help the industry provide clear and accurate information on plant labels, these guidelines aim to establish an accepted standard in the preparation of plant labels and marketing material. They are recommended for adoption by all plant producers, suppliers of plant material, plant retailers and label manufacturers.
